Grammar Diagnostic 411

Grammar Diagnostic
The purpose of this brief assignment is for me to identify grammar areas in which you may struggle. When done correctly, I can quickly see where we need a little extra attention; then, quite quickly, I can show you some tricks and we can move on and write beautiful, college-level essays. Bear in mind: this assignment is worth no points.  Simply do your best.

Warning: Not doing this assignment will result in -5 points. (Our class is only worth 100 points)

Instructions:

Try to use conjunctions in one and then semi colons in the next; quotes, visual descriptors, and perhaps scholarly vocabulary and phrases you may be uncomfortable with now but are eager to aspire towards. The point is for you to try and write clean, college-level sentences, and for me to see what kind of errors you most commonly make.
